We run a session once a week at the youth centre, where we provide a safe and inclusive environment for young people.
Cost: £2 per person
From 7- 9pm
For young people with or without learning difficulties or disabilities.
What we do:
Cooking – we always try to provide some element of cooking, whether that’s baking or decorating cakes and biscuits, make your own pizzas or even mini meals!
Arts and crafts – we have a large range of arts and crafts equipment and we have a special art room where you can create to your hearts content. We also have special guests come in and show us interesting crafts like balloon modelling and outdoor crafts.
Sports activities – we do lots of activities on Monday nights, we often play games and we have a lot of different equipment to do sports like football, dodgeball, badminton, hockey and many more. During the spring and summer sessions we can also use the outdoor court and field to play basketball/netball as well, we’ve even had a few water fights!
Social time – Even if you just want to hang out with your friends we have a seating area that’s great for just hanging out, we also have an IT room with computers and a games station where you are welcome to chill out and play games.
Trips – on many occasions we go to places away from the youth centre to do different activities or just have fun. Some examples of trips we’ve done are Jump street, archery, the theatre, bowling, high ropes and the cinema.
